Dial 'M' for Maine Coon

by Alex Erickson

Liz Denton, owner of the Furever Pets animal rescue, heads out to deliver a Maine Coon cat to a new home. When she arrives however, the would be pet adopter is dead. Liz quickly learns that, despite her own personal vetting, the man wasn't who he claimed to be. In fact, she finds he was accused of killing his wife nearly twenty years ago. Of course, Liz knows not everything is as it seems. With help from her daughter Amelia and Amelia's mentor Chester Chudzinski, and interference from Liz's rival Courtney and a high strung Chihuahua, Liz discovers that not only was the victim likely innocent of the murder, but his dead wife might not be so dead after all.
