A bitter loving

by Lilian Peake

26 year old h returns to the town and school where she lived until 16. She has a childhood crush and father longing focused on the 22 year old art teacher, the H. He is almost extraordinarily cruel to a young girl because her weight repulses him although it's never really explained why. She is now a teacher in the school and they are bitter enemies who fall in love. She almost died from anorexia and now is very thin. These are two very screwed up people. He in particular is just plain mean. It's an interesting read, like a car crash. Very ugly book, nothing really redeeming. Read at your peril.
