The Great Escape

by Amanda Carpenter

Dee Janson is one month shy of her 18th birthday, where she will inherit $23MILL approx from her dead parents' estate - if she lives that is, as her evil aunt & uncle have taken custody of her since her parents deaths, at the tender age of 14, and have totally isolated her from anyone who could help. She escapes but evil auntie siccs Mike Carridine, a 29 year old private investigator on to her trail and he's been tracking her for the past 9 months. Inevitably, he realises why she's run away and that her relos are the villains. He also falls in love with her and helps and protects her, to make sure no 'nasty, accidentally on purpose' fate befalls her, that would see the villains inherit all the loot...
