Magic

by Ellis Stanyon

From Wikipedia- "William Ellis Stanyon (January 1870 - September 1951) was a professional magician and magic dealer in London. He also published-edited Stanyon's Magic. In the first issue of Magic he set out his intention which was to‚ 'popularize the Art of Sleight of Hand'. It was first published in October 1900 and ran for 177 issues with a break during the 1914-1918 war and the final issue was published in June 1920." The magic in Stanyon's Magic was cutting edge for its time. But modern day magic tricks STILL use the basic principles laid out in Magic. Here you'll find basic sleight of hand with cards and coins, as well as some of the methods mediums and spiritualists used to fool their callers.
