The Gate of the Cat

by Andre Norton

A young lady, Kelsie, goes to Scotland to claim an inheritance, but finds that it is not what she expected. Acting to save a wildcat from a hunter illegally on her land, she is hurt and then transported to the Witch World through a Gate. There comes to her friendship from the wildcat, a scout, the people of the Valley and also a power she didn't ask for and didn't want, which nevertheless led her to battle with the Dark's minions to save the world she found herself in. Another great story from the master author, Andre Norton.
