Number 91

by John Skillen

On the evening of 2 June 1989, a West Belfast family found their lives plunged into a living nightmare. The paranormal manifestation which visited itself upon John and Greta Skillen and their 5 children was, over the following days and weeks, to grow to such an intensity that the family were forced to flee their own home. To the terror of their experiences was added the frustration caused by the disbelief and cynicism with which their circumstances were viewed by many, including those in authority to whom they turned for assistance. The Skillen family are now living as squatters ans still suffer the psychological after-effects of their experiences. NUMBER 91 is John Skillen's account of the dramatic and malign occurrences which turned an ordinary Belfast home into a place of terror.
