Times to Remember

by Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy

There have been times when I felt I was one of the most fortunate people in the world, almost as if Providence, or Fate, or Destiny, as you like, had chosen me for special favors. Now I am in my eighties, and I have known the joys and sorrows of a full life, I can neither forget nor ever reconcile myself to the tragedies. Age, however, has its privileges. One is to reminisce and another is to reminisce selectively. I prefer to remember the good times, and that is how this book begins.
