Lady China

by Elizabeth Hewitt

Sir Clive Rawdon’s grown children are horrified to learn that he has died suddenly in China but not before remarrying a much younger woman. Lady Chloris Rawdon knows her stepchildren do not trust her and waits to meet with their representative, Lord Morgan, who travels to see her from his post in India. As circumstances develop, the pair must leave China and return to England. As Chloris establishes herself in society though, she knows she has made the mistake of falling in love with Morgan.
