Little town

by Beatrice Burton Morgan

Emily Orcutt lives with her married sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Joe Sutton in the bustling city of Cleveland. Emily is stuck in a dead-end job at a women's gift shop that she had invested her life saving into five years before. Twenty-seven years old and she sees no prospects for herself, nothing but a slow drudgery. Her life changes dramatically when she accompanies Joe and Irene to Joe's home town of Hibiscus, Florida. When they decide to stay there for good, Emily finds a place for herself. With a new man on the horizon, life seems perfect for Emily but trouble is brewing, with her sister, Irene at the center, and it threatens disaster for all of them. What will become of Emily, will she find happiness in this Little Town?
