The Forgotten Hero of My Lai
The life story of Hugh Thompson, the U.S. Army helicopter pilot who put a stop to the infamous My Lai Massacre during the Vietnam War, in 1968. It was his heroic actions on behalf of unarmed Vietnamese that brought about the cease-fire that saved countless lives. As a result —after 30 years— he has been awarded the Soldier's Medal and the Courage of Conscience Award.
