The House Sitter

by Judith R. Parker

Just when Karen Gunderson thinks that she and her six year old daughter, Melanie, have no other way to escape their shadowed past and her abusive ex-husband, she responds to an ad for a house sitter, that seems to be a perfect opportunity. Karen finally plans on relaxing and enjoying time with Melanie, without fear for the first time in years. The two join Lake Serenity’s Community in Oregon’s Cascade Mountains, but as the days pass at the Bromann cabin, Karen begins to sense that something is still looming overhead. She fears she may never be able to escape the horrors of her past, but she knows that she must struggle to protect innocent Melanie from whatever dangers are imminent. What Karen doesn’t know is that her ex-husband isn’t the only one plotting his attack on her in that cabin…another stalker who violently murdered someone in that very place is watching her too…
