Uniforms & Insignia of the Navies of World War II

A reprint of the color plates from a US military recognition manual, for selected world naval uniforms and insignia worn during World War II. It is supplemented with color illustrations of US naval uniform insignia, decorations, and aircraft insignia, reprinted from the wartime *National Geographic* magazine. Some of the navies here are those whose uniforms and insignia are not widely covered elsewhere. But the original manual might have included them because, as allies and neutrals, they potentially could have played a larger part of the war than they did. Although the book uses illustrations entirely and not photographs, the original sources were often expensive and/or hard to find. Hence this reprint.
