Hot November (Dangerous Liaisons)

by Ann Charlton

Fighting fire with fire He is Boss Mackenzie, bush fire fighter. She is Emma Spencer....suspected arsonist. For a brushfire to start three things have to be present--fuel, heat and oxygen. Two of the conditions could exist for a long, long time until the third was supplied. For Emma Spencer the third condition was Mackenzie. Bushfires seem to follow Emma and her touring theater company across the Outback. As far as Mackenzie was concerned there was no smoke without fire. With Emma around it looked as though it was going to be a hot November - in all senses of the word.
