Steamy December

by Ann Charlton

Mr. High and Mighty North Kendrick was a connoisseur - he liked his women beautiful and his champagne cold. He had taken one look at Ami and made one of his famous snap judgments. But Ami was determined to prove to him that appearances could be deceptive. As a makeup artist, she could transform herself into anyone she wanted to be.... So she plays a revenge joke on North, who had kicked her off the kerb in front of his new up-market hotel previously, as he thought she was a hooker from her disguise costume - and now disguises herself as a little old, helpless granny who attends the *open to the public* hotel opening, and again, gets kicked out as she looks like a *poor* old granny who could never afford to stay there, drawing the attention of negative press by this attitude; not a good thing for the opening of a new swanky hotel !! Ami soon discovered though, that messing with North was asking for trouble. And trouble was exactly what she got - of the heartbreaking kind!
