In June 1918, Stella Morris learned of her sister Pamela's secret wedding to Lord Julian Eden. But only days later, Julian's fighter plane was shot down and he was reported missing, presumed dead. A year later, Pamela is married for a second time, although her new husband doesn't know about her past.
